Edmonton police are asking for the public’s help after an inmate escaped custody early New Year’s Day.
Police say the escape was discovered at the Stan Daniel’s Healing Centre during a routine head count at about 1:47 a.m. A Canada-wide warrant has been issued, and officers say the inmate remains at large.
Correctional Services Canada identified the inmate as 33-year-old Shelby Crane, who was serving a 10-year and six-month sentence for manslaughter, use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes, and obstructing a peace officer.
