A 25-year-old man is dead and a 16-year-old faces a second-degree murder charge after a stabbing in western Manitoba early Tuesday morning.
Virden RCMP responded to reports of an incident at a home in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation just before 5 a.m. and found two men with stab wounds, according to a Wednesday news release from police.
A 23-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but the 25-year-old was taken to hospital in serious condition and died of his injuries, RCMP said.

Officers were told the suspect in the attack, a 16-year-old boy, fled on foot, but was arrested a short time later with help from other emergency personnel, including police dog services, at another home in the community, which is about 45 kilometres west of Brandon.
The teen, who is from Sioux Valley, has been charged with second-degree murder.
