City police are investigating what they’re calling an undetermined death in the northwest Citadel area.

Late Tuesday afternoon, officers responded to a request for a check on welfare in the 100 block of Citadel Crest Circle N.W.

Police located an individual deceased inside,” police said in a press release.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday. Police said they won’t be releasing more information “at this time.”

They are also asking anyone with information on the death to contact them at 403-266-1234 or provide tips anonymously at Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, on the P3 Tips app or at calgarycrimestoppers.org.

So far this year, there have been 14 homicides in Calgary, the most recent being the Dec. 10 shooting death of 32-year-old Feysal Osman Abdul-Aziz in the 7000 block of 20 St. S.E.

Police say that death is connected to organized crime.
