A 43-year-old Lansdowne woman has been charged with homicide after provincial police on a “wellness call” Tuesday discovered the body of a 73-year-old woman.
Provincial police confirmed the victim was the mother of the accused.
A postmortem examination confirmed the death was the result of homicide. There was no further information on the cause of death.
Police identified the victim as Katherine Graham, 78, of Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township, east of Kingston.

On Wednesday, the victim’s daughter, also named Katherine Graham, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
The accused was scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on Thursday.
The investigation is being conducted by the Leeds County OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, with assistance from the OPP Forensic Identification Services and in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Forensic Pathology Service.
