A man was shot and seriously injured by a police officer late morning on Tuesday at the Dalhousie LRT station, according to Calgary police.
As a result, the CTrain station will be closed as officers investigate. Police say officers and bystanders have not been injured, and there is no further risk to the public.
A Postmedia reporter on scene described a “heavy police presence,” saying more than 10 CPS vehicles were stationed near the entrance to the pedestrian bridge on the north side of Crowchild Trail, plus additional peace officer vehicles maintaining road closures in the area.

A note from Calgary Transit stated that CTrains will service Brentwood and Crowfoot stations but will not stop at Dalhousie.
Commuters could use shuttles or buses outside the Dalhousie CTrain station to take them to either Crowfoot or Brentwood to catch the train.
More to come…
