Mounties in New Brunswick are investigating the suspicious death of a man as a homicide, and they are asking the public's help.
RCMP from the Chaleur Region detachment were called to a residence in Lorne just after 9 a.m. Thursday where they discovered the victim, according to a Sunday news release from police.
Based on evidence found at the home, police determined foul play was involved. The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Elliot Mallaley.

The RCMP's major crimes unit has taken control of the investigation, police said.
CBC reached out to RCMP for more information regarding the incident, but a spokesperson said additional details would not be released at this time.
Police are asking anyone in the area who witnessed suspicious activity or has camera footage between 11 a.m. Wednesday to 9 a.m. Thursday to contact them at 1-888-506-7267, or via email at jdiv.mcu@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
