Windsor police are looking for a suspect related to a stabbing incident which took place Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded to a call just before 3 p.m. at a motel at the 2600 black of Howard Ave, according to a police news release.
Police found a 47-year-old man with a stab wound to the abdomen. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say a verbal altercation between the victim and the suspect inside a motel room turned physical. They say the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.
The suspect is described by police as a black male, about 35 years old, having a medium build and wearing a black tracksuit and a black jacket.
Investigators are urging nearby business owners and residents to review their security footage. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Major Crimes Unit of Crime Stoppers.
