Montreal weather: Don't look at the window this morning

Environment Canada issued a yellow warning for snowfall Saturday night, so when we wake up Sunday there could be about 15 centimetres of snow greeting us.

The heavy snowfall will cause rapid accumulation on the ground, expected to be 3 to 4 centimetres per hour for a few hours, the weather agency said.

Snow could change to light rain early Sunday morning, which could influence total snowfall amounts.

Travel will likely be challenging and visibility will likely be reduced at times.

The snow or rain will end in the morning, then mainly cloudy with a few flurries beginning in the afternoon.

An east wind at 20 km/h, will become southwest at 30 km/h, gusting to 60 in the morning.

The temperature will fall to minus 2 in the afternoon with a wind chill of minus 9 in the afternoon.

There will be cloudy periods overnight with a 60 per cent chance of flurries and a low minus of 10.
