RCMP issues third call for public help as Sask. woman remains missing

The RCMP is again asking for public assistance as the search continues for a 63-year-old Saskatchewan woman who police say is known to travel to rural areas.

Evette Schotts, who is from the RM of Livingston, was reported missing to RCMP on Dec. 19. Police first sought the public’s help in locating her on Dec. 20, when a news release was sent out indicating she’d been last seen Dec. 16 around 10 a.m.

Police recirculated the call for assistance on Dec. 22 and repeated the request on Monday, Dec. 29.

The latest news release indicates police are still actively searching for the woman, who is described as being five-foot-one and 100 pounds with brown eyes and greying hair.

“Evette may be driving a red 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe with SK license plate 762 NQQ,” the release states. “Officers have been conducting remotely-piloted aircraft system searches, and continue to follow up on each piece of information received about her potential whereabouts.”

The release notes that Schotts is known to travel to the Hudson Bay and Porcupine Plain areas in northern Saskatchewan as well as the Swan River and The Pas areas in Manitoba.

An earlier release also indicated she is known to travel to the Canora area.

Anyone who has seen Schotts or her vehicle is asked to contact Kamsack RCMP by dialing 310-RCMP.
