A warm front tracking into southern Quebec on Sunday night will produce several hours of a wintry mix, with a risk for freezing rain throughout the Gatineau and northern Montreal area.
Southern Quebec forecast freezing rain accumulation - Dec. 29, 2025
Ice accretions of 5-15 mm are in the forecast before southern Montreal and the Eastern Townships change over to rain early Monday afternoon.
Conditions will begin to improve on Tuesday morning, but freezing temperatures behind the storm will result in any standing water on roads or walkways to quickly freeze up and become slippery.
