Injured man hospitalized after Oshawa shooting; shots fired in Scarborough

A man was hospitalized after suffering serious injuries in a shooting in Oshawa, according to Durham Regional Police.

Officers said they were called to the Simcoe-Bond Sts. area sometime Saturday night or early Sunday  for reports that an armed person had been spotted.

When they arrived, police said, they found a wounded man who was rushed to a hospital.

There is a large police presence in the area as the investigation is ongoing.

Shots fired in Scaroborough

Toronto Police officers are investigating after somebody fired shots at a vehicle early Sunday morning.

Officers reported that a motorist driving in the Warden Ave.-Ellesmere Rd. area told them the occupant of another vehicle opened fire around 7:10 p.m.

While no injuries were reported, damage to the motorist’s vehicle was consistent with gunfire, according to police.

Officers are looking for a silver SUV in the ongoing investigation.
