Residents in Toronto and across the GTA should prepare to bundle up as colder temperatures and snow will arrive over the next several days.
According to the seven-day forecast by The Weather Network, the city will dip down to -13° C overnight Friday as the wind chill will make it feel like -18° C.
North of the city, Environment Canada issued a snow squall advisory Thursday afternoon for the northern parts of York Region and areas around Lake Simcoe.

The alert said lake effect snow squalls off Georgian Bay will continue to affect areas as far south as Aurora, east to Uxbridge and west to Alliston.
“The lake effect snow will be accompanied by northwesterly winds gusting 50 to 60 km/h,” the alert said. “As a result, blowing snow will further reduce visibility.”
The advisory noted that the weather conditions will improve by Thursday evening.

More snow is one the way for Tuesday and Wednesday as the temperatures in the area stay at or just below the freezing mark as the rest of the week shapes up to be more seasonal.
