Two people — including a teenager from Chestermere, Alta. — have been charged with murder in the shooting death of a Calgary man last September.

Jordan Jacques-Vetten, 33, was killed on Sept. 9 in Calgary's northwest community of Capitol Hill.

Following a four-month investigation, police have charged Robert Matthews, 25, and an 18-year-old with second-degree murder.

Police say there is no known relationship between the two accused killers and the victim.

The 18-year-old was a youth at the time of the shooting so he can't be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Investigators say they are not looking for any other suspects.

Both men are due in court Wednesday morning.

Investigators say they were first called to the 1700 block of 18th Avenue N.W. around 3:50 a.m. on Sept. 9 after neighbours reported gunshots.

When police arrived, they found a male in medical distress in front of a home.
